A T-mold is used to cover expansion space at door ways and related areas.
When floating your floor, the ‘rafts’ of flooring should not exceed 10m of distance (width-wise) before you should have an expansion space of 10mm (covered by a T-mold).
* Some installers will install without these expansion spaces when they could potentially be unsightly due your flooring configuration (ie. open plan living). This is however not covered under warranty in the event of an expansion issue (ie. buckle). We reccommend a glue down installation if an expansion space will be in an unsightly location.
